 | FormsLink FormsLink allows you to integrate your external forms management system with the IBM® archiving solution for SAP R/3. Business documents sent to your customers and business partners are visible parts of your company. They define your image in the market. Forms-Management and archiving must work together A range of special forms management software is well integrated into SAP R/3 so that the pure business information delivered by the R/3 application is processed with your own company style and logos. Forms management software is designed to create business dcuments with a perfect style, but it does not store or archive such documents. Typical archiving systems integrated into R/3 are not able to work with a forms environment. IBM CommonStore for SAP talks to your forms management The FormsLink feature of CommonStore for SAP allows you to integrate your existing forms management software for R/3 with the archiving functionality of CommonStore. Any software which supports Adobe PDF or SAPScript OTF can be connected to CommonStore FormsLink. The result is: - Generating and archiving in one step. You archive exactly the same document -- including layout and style -- that you sent to customers or vendors. FormsLink will archive the datastream delivered by the external forms management system -- such as PDF or TIFF.
- Access to archived documents. The archived document is on your screen in seconds. The retrieval is directly from the SAPGUI, utilizing the CommonStore for SAP archive.
- Freedom to choose your forms management solution. The FormsLink feature CommonStore for SAP allows you to be flexible and vendor independent.
Integration with Adobe Output Pak for mySAP.com enables archiving documents from the SAP Raw Data Interface (RDI) as they are printed. CommonStore is integrated into the layout process and receives the ready-formatted documents, archiving them and connecting them back to the SAP object. These documents can then be viewed within the SAPGUI using the object service broker function of the SAP business object. This feature introduces another high-volume way to archive printed documents. |
