WebSphere Development Studio for System i V6R1 offers significant enhancements to the IBM i5/OS host Integrated Language Environment (ILE) compilers.

• IBM WebSphere Development Studio for System i V6R1 has been repackaged into three separate options, allowing you to order and install only the components that you need.
• The orderable features in WebSphere Deveolopment Studio V6R1 include: ILE Compilers, Heritage Compilers and the Application Development ToolSet.
• V6R1 includes significant enhancements to the IBM i5OS host integrated (ILE) compilers, including the ability to run concurrently in multiple threads.
• As of this release, the WebSphere Development Studio Client is no longer included as part of the WebSphere Development Studio for System i software.
