Advanced compiler options and program optimization technology let you generate compiler output optimized to run on a variety of processors and processor families.

• Supports IBM System p machines capable of running IBM AIX 5L Version 5.2 and IBM AIX 5L Version 5.3, including the latest POWER6 machines
• Also supports System i servers capable of running i5/OS V5R3 and i5/OS Portable Application Solutions Environment (PASE)
• Features a wide range of optimizing features that let you generate highly-optimized 32-bit or 64-bit application code to run efficiently on a wide variety of processors and processor families, or you can tune generated code to run most efficiently on a specific processor or processor family
• Provides full compliance with the FORTRAN 77, Fortran 90, and Fortran 95 language standards, and enhanced compliance with Fortran 2003
