Performance analysis of IBM embedded PowerPC devices
Benchmarking can help microprocessor customers compare performance across multiple vendors and can be a critical component in determining which product is right for their applications. The Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC) was formed in 1997 to develop meaningful performance benchmarks for processors and compilers in embedded applications. IBM, a founding member of EEMBC, has recently published certified benchmark scores that have allowed customers to evaluate its popular IBM® PowerPC® 405GPr and 440GP processors.
